I am Amar Kler and I am a proud member of the Society of Notaries Public of British Columbia, a trusted tradition that the public has relied on for decades and I am looking forward to working with you.
I grew up in Sparwood, British Columbia, a small town in the East Kootenays. I attended the University of Calgary, Alberta where I graduated with a B.A. in Sociology/Pysychology. This led me into the counselling field where I worked as a family counsellor for 7 years.
I changed paths when I was introduced to a Notary Public and found that I really enjoyed working in the legal field. I therefore pivoted into the legal field as a conveyancer working in Notary and Law offices to gain experience in a variety of office cultures and to hone my conveyancing skills. With eight years of experience in the legal profession, I decided to obtain my degree to become a Notary Public so that I may venture into my own business and serve the people of my community with the highest standards.
My background in counselling has provided me superior skills in communication and treating all people with respect and kindness. My experience in the legal profession has given me a strong knowledge base for completing all real estate transactions. My Masters degree in Applied Legal Studies from Simon Fraser University has provided me with a sound theoretical perspective on British Columbia law.
